Product · Shaft connection & protection
Shrink sleeves, shrink discs and compression locking devices — zero-backlash, keyless shaft–hub connections.
Standard GB- and DIN-pattern locking assemblies in common sizes are kept in stock and ship same-week. Non-standard sizes, taper angles and outer profiles are machined from solid bar to your drawing — typical lead time 15–25 days.

What we make
Type 1
Inner + outer ring with axial screws; expands radially to grip both shaft and hub. Zero backlash on torque reversal. Most common keyless option.
Type 2
External clamping ring for hollow-shaft / gearbox-output connections. No shaft modification — common on extruders, mixers, large drives.
Type 3
Multi-ring stacks for high torque density in a short axial envelope. RfN / KLBB-pattern compatible.
Type 4
Non-standard bore, outer profile or bolt pattern — machined from solid bar to drawing. 15–25 day lead time.
Stock
Common GB & DIN bore sizes (Ø 10 / 15 / 19 / 20 / 24 / 25 / 28 / 30 / 35 / 38 / 40 / 42 / 45 / 48 / 50 / 55 / 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 mm) ship the same week from Foshan.
A locking assembly eliminates the keyway entirely — turning the shaft / hub interface into a press-fit connection that handles bidirectional torque without backlash. It also lets you reposition or remove the hub in minutes (release the screws, slide the hub).
Most internationally known patterns — WK, TLK, KTR, RfN, KLBB — share a small set of dimensional standards we cut to. We do not stock OEM-branded parts, but our manufactured-to-pattern variants are interchangeable in the equivalent installation. For quick-mountTaper Bushings, see the dedicated product line.
Why keyless
01
Press-fit contact across the full bore — no clearance for torque reversal to take up.
02
Removes the keyway — eliminates a notch that initiates fatigue cracks under cyclic torque.
03
Release the screws, slide the hub to a new location, retighten — no machining needed.
04
Survives many install / dismount cycles without losing torque capacity, unlike interference press-fits.
Standards & testing
Where they go
Joint reducer output → arm link, zero-backlash mount
Gantry pinion to drive shaft, no keyway under cyclic reversal
Spindle to belt pulley; index-table drive to gearbox output
Conveyor head shafts to gearmotor output
Cam shafts on filling / capping lines, fast re-position
Extruder, mixer, large drive hollow-shaft connections (shrink discs)
“Their locking assemblies and couplings have performed outstandingly under the heavy shock loads of our ceramic presses — three years, zero failures — and after-sales response is always prompt.”
FAQ
Whenever backlash matters. Locking assemblies eliminate keyway clearance entirely and survive torque reversal without fretting. They also disassemble and reposition — useful in adjustable drives and high-uptime lines. A keyed joint is cheaper to make but trades these benefits for simplicity, and is fine for low-precision, mostly-unidirectional applications.
No. We manufacture to the dimensional patterns those brands use — same bore, same taper, same bolt circle — so our parts are interchangeable in equivalent installations. We ship our own Wolfer-marked parts with EN 10204 3.1 material certificates. If you need genuine branded parts under a global supplier agreement, those should be sourced from the brand directly.
Standard GB / DIN sizes in stock ship same week from Foshan. Custom variants (non-standard bore, taper, or outer profile) are machined from solid bar in 15–25 days from drawing confirmation.
Depends on bore size, type, and bolt class. A typical Ø 50 mm shrink sleeve transmits ~3,000 Nm; a Ø 100 mm shrink disc can transmit ~30,000 Nm. Send us your duty cycle (torque, reversal frequency, shock factor) and we'll size the right pattern.
Clean the shaft and hub bore (no oil, no grit). Tighten the bolts in a diagonal sequence, multiple passes, never single-pass to full torque. Each part lot ships with the printed installation guide. We also have an installation video — ask sales.
